On this page, we’ll be presenting quick sketches of some of those same donors, selected from observations by our staff. Since we’ll be updating this page frequently, you might want to check back often.

Cliff

Cliff always shows up in a very good mood and is always up for a little chat with the staff. He is a very well spoken and charming donor who loves to travel and has a special affection for Germany. Cliff is also an intelligent and ambitious guy with a very good sense of his surroundings. He is definitely a guy that our male staff would wish to have as a brother-in-law and that our female staff wouldn’t mind using as a donor. Cliff has a round shaped face with large round blue eyes. The staff agree that he bares a striking resemblance to the cyclist, Lance Armstrong.

Gavin

Gavin is an open identity donor. He is a tall, muscular, very fit blonde haired guy, very dedicated to his profession as one of "New York's bravest" FDNY firefighters. He wears his hair very short and is well disciplined and polite, possibly as a result of the grueling basic training he recently has completed to become a firefighter.

Irwin

Irwin is one of our more quiet donors. He is always very respectful and helpful and seems like a great person. He is described by our laboratory staff as one of their favorites, characterizing him as one of the donors with the best personality. He always shows up at the office wearing nice clothes, and is a very clean-cut guy.

Sonny

Sonny is our first U.S. open identity donor. He is a tall slim guy with thick curly brown hair. He has soft facial features, is well mannered, well educated, and seems to care a great deal about helping the families involved. Sonny is a sociable guy with a very relaxed and confident demeanor.

Monty

Monty is a tall athletic and very handsome guy. He often shows up in his running gear and seems to live a very healthy lifestyle. He is a forthcoming, talkative and witty guy that often jokes around with the staff. Monty has blonde curly hair and rugged facial features and is definitely one of the staff favorite donors.

Egil

Egil is a very forthcoming and helpful donor who does the best he can to call in advance to see if we need him to show up at specific dates to donate. He is a business student and he is always dressed nicely and business like as a perfect match to his studies. We love that he is always friendly and happy when he shows up to donate.

Gorm

Gorm is friendly and has a nice personality. He is charming and always seems happy and open about what he does and who he is. He is involved and concerned about what he does and what he is part of and has a natural interest in the work that goes on in the laboratory. Gorm appreciates a healthy life style and puts an effort in eating right and he exercises all year round to stay in shape. He looks very fit and has a great posture.

Karl

Karl is always cheerful and talkative when he shows up. He seems like a very straightforward and intelligent young man. He is a tall, blond, and athletic guy, who cares a lot about eating healthy and doing sports.

Aake

Aake is an intelligent and nice guy with a good sense of humor. He really likes to travel. He is athletic built and is a guy who thinks about what he eats and who puts an effort into living healthy.

Agge

Agge is an adventurous donor who likes to travel and explore other cultures. He is the more quiet, intellectual type who does not reveal much about himself to protect his anonymity. He is tall and on the skinny side with typical Scandinavian facial features that tend to be soft, a smallish nose and fair skin.

Atle

Atle is the most handsome donor donating at this facility. He has medium brown hair, nice blue-green eyes, and an oval shaped face. He has large curls if he wears his hair long and wavy hair when cut short. He is a friendly guy, and really stands out from a crowd because of his looks. Atle is the proud father of a son, and he has a thing for American cars.

Dagh

Dagh is tall, slim, and has very fair skin. He's got good looks and the staff could easily see him as a male model in e.g. a Hugo Boss ad. He has an outgoing personality and is a very forthcoming person.

Dane

Dane has the archetypical Viking look with very blond hair, blue eyes, and a strong build. At the lab where he donates he is described by the female lab technicians as the one donor they would choose if they were to pick a donor.

Ebbe

Ebbe has very striking blue eyes and a very muscular build. Ebbe likes to strike a conversation but prefers to talk to people he already knows.

Emil

Emil is a really nice guy and always shows up with a smile on his face. He is a very healthy outdoor person who likes to spend his spare time as a scout. He is on the skinny side but is very athletic looking with a defined muscular build. The staff has the feeling that Emil is a person who likes to help other people.

Finn

Finn is a great guy and we are very happy to have him as a donor. Try and read his profile and you will understand. He stays in good shape despite a busy life with work and family. He has a normal build with a well proportioned body.

Ivan

The first thought that comes to mind when you think about Ivan is that he is a good person. Someone you can trust and definitely wouldn’t mind having as a friend. His personality can best be described as happy, optimistic, forth- coming, and he is always helpful. One example is his willingness to share knowledge of carpentry, giving advice and even offering the staff to borrow his tools. Being a donor is taken very seriously and he thinks a lot about what it means to be a donor and how he helps other people. Ivan has above average looks, no special features that make him stand out in the crowd. He has a normal shaped head, more round than oblong, and blond, wavy hair. He has a nice face and smiling eyes. The female staff wouldn’t mind using him as a donor and the male staff thinks he would make a good brother in law.

Kent

Kent is an athletic built, young man with a nice, boyish look to him. He has gray eyes with a tint of green to them, and really thick, blonde, curly hair. He resembles Justin Timberlake quite a bit. Kent is an outgoing, open person who is really happy to help out and who is feeling blessed that he can contribute to bringing children to the world.

Kris

Kris is the more quiet type who doesn’t stand out too much. He is the more introvert type of guy, who is always friendly, and who asks questions, but not too many. He appears to be a very intelligent person which sometimes over shatters his social skills.

Lars

Lars is an above average looking guy. He has an average shaped head with a square shaped chin. When he smiles it brings out the best in him. His nose is perfectly proportioned to the rest of his face and his lips have a nice volume to them. He has always been a nice and loyal donor and recently became a dad. When he shows up at the sperm bank he is always interested in striking a conversation about all sorts of things, not just sperm banking. The staff at the location where he donates would have no problem in choosing him as a donor.

Leif

Leif is an intelligent guy who has tried different things in life. He is studying at the university and is very excited about it. His studies have to do with the origin of languages. He has been donating for a few years. He is a good looking guy, especially when he has short hair — sometimes he lets his hair grow long. Leif has nice, angular facial features with an average cheekbone, a square shaped chin, hazel eyes, and medium brown hair. He is a friendly, outgoing, and appealing donor.

Oluf

Oluf is honest, friendly, forthcoming, and he possesses good communication skills. He has won a world championship in a very physical boating category (we cannot mention which one) and it shows — physically he is very muscular and fit. He has a strong personality and is extremely disciplined. He has a demanding job and spends hours on transportation to and from work but he doesn’t want to work while his kid is awake and he often stays up late to work after his kid has been put to sleep.

Stig

Stig is a really handsome, masculine, and well proportioned donor, but he is also very sensitive and has a good sense of people. He is always aware of what's going on around him and also has a natural interest in what is going on, whether it's ethical aspects about sperm donation like e.g. how donor children are affected, what thoughts and feelings are going through the recipients' minds, donor anonymity versus open identity or volunteering for journalist interviews. He knows what it means to be an anonymous donor and he is participating in the donor program for pure altruistic reasons.

Who has pregnancies?

Since the beginning of the donor program in 1990, all our European donors have had reported pregnancies.
We've only just released the first donations from our American group, and Monty and Irwin are the first donors to result in pregnancies. Pregnancies related to all of our U.S. donors will be indicated in the donor list, as they occur.Please remember to report your own pregnancy for our important birth tracking. You can inform us anonymously since the only things we need to know are the name of the donor and your zip code.

Known or Anonymous donor?

At Cryos, many of our donors prefer to retain complete anonymity, signing a contract that does not allow us to reveal their identities to any one, for any reason. But a growing number of our donors have elected to participate in our new Known Donor program. Known Donors agree to allow Cryos to reveal their personal information – name, birth date, full profile and contact information – to adults conceived using their donor sperm. This information can be released to the offspring when he or she turns 18, upon written request.
Please note that this information will not be released to anyone else, and no personal or contact details for the offspring will be revealed to the donor.

Of course, offspring who obtain contact information for their donor may choose not to make contact, and a donor located through the Known Donors program cannot be required to meet any offspring, but many donors who have chosen to participate like the idea that their offspring will have access to genetic details and other information not available to those conceived through the more typical anonymous donor procedure.
